Booking Holdings Inc. (BKNG) on Monday reported a profit for the third quarter of $1.77 billion, or $37.02 a share, up from $1.72 billion, or $34.43 a share, a year earlier. Adjusted earnings were $37.78 a share, missing the $38.21 a share analysts polled by Refinitiv had estimated.

Total revenues for the online travel company rose 9.4% to $4.85 billion, within range of the consensus forecast of $4.8 billion. Gross travel bookings were up 12% to $24.3 billion.

For the fourth quarter, the company guided revenue growth of 13% to 16%. The company also guided earnings per share of $18.05 to $18.55, compared with analysts' estimates of $17.89 a share. The company also guided adjusted earnings per share of $18.90 to $19.40, compared with analysts' estimates of $18.69 a share.
